The Church of St. Charles had its God given beginning in the hearts of a group of people while on a mission trip to the inner city of Chicago.  God gave them a burden for those in need, and the church opened its doors in the Powell Terrace neighborhood of St. Charles in September 1996.

In 1996 we started with a total of 14 people.  Attendance grew to 75 to 100 people and is currently about 40 to 50 people.

Functioning as a debt-free church, it has been exciting to see God’s provision on a weekly basis.  In its commitment to minister to those especially in financial need the church has developed ministries to meet those varied needs.
