Dr. Mike Adams
Elder/Senior Pastor
Dr. Mike is the founding pastor of The Church of St. Charles, which began in August of 1996. He and his wife, Diann Adams, have 7 sons, 5 daughters-in-law, and 7 grandchildren. Dr. Mike has a general family medical practice in St. Peters, MO. In his role as Senior Pastor Dr. Mike shares the teaching and preaching responsibilities with Freddie Hampton. He has taken Theology classes from Missouri Baptist University and is constantly reading and studying the Bible and other Bible-saturated books. He has lived in St. Charles county for more than 20 years and considers himself called to minister to St. Charles City, specifically. Dr. Mike and Diann Adams’ motivating verses for starting The Church of St. Charles are Isaiah 61:1-3 and Colossians 1:28-29.
Paul Ayers
Elder/Worship Leader
Paul Ayers has been the Worship Leader for The Church of St. Charles since 2000. He and his wife Jenny have 6 children, ranging from 2 to 21 years old. He also teaches the youth class on Wednesday nights. Paul has a humble heart and a passion for understanding God’s great grace in Christ Jesus for sinners and for expressing our deepest desires and needs for Him.
Freddie Hampton
Elder/Associate Pastor
Freddie Hampton has been with The Church of St. Charles since January 2010 and in his role as Associate Pastor shares the preaching and teaching responsibilities with Dr. Adams. He has previously served as Campus Pastor at Missouri Baptist University as well as Instructor of Bible. Fred’s passion is to see God glorified in a church where people from various social levels, ethnic backgrounds, cultural heritages, and economic conditions come together as one in true love for Jesus Christ and one another. Fred graduated from the University of Missouri (BSEE) in Rolla, Missouri and earned his Master of Theology (ThM) from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. Fred and his wife La-Tonya have one son and four daughters.
